VB2 promotes the degradation of carbohydrates, fatty acids, and amino acids, and releases energy for tissues by transferring with hydrogen atoms. As a component of two coenzymes, flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), Vitamin B2 is the carrier of electron transfer in the process of biological REDOX reaction of energy release.
